Kentucky is rich
in natural resources and has an amazing variety of artists who live and work in all
corners of the Commonwealth.
We represent over 500 individual artists in
our sales gallery and work with more than 100 artists a year in exhibitions, workshops,
demonstrations and educational projects.
The artists in Kentucky are among the finest
in the country.
Stephen Powell from Danville, has one of the
most sophisticated hot glass studios in the region, located at Centre College.
One of the states favorite artists is 81 year
old Marvin Finn of Louisville. For some 5 decades, Marvin has been using his creative
imagination to create a menagerie of beasts from wood, plastic and found objects. His work
will been seen in two upcoming exhibitions: African American Folk Art from Kentucky in
September 1999 as well as Master Maker: Marvin Finn in January 2000.
